When we moved into our current home, Connor was our one and only. He of course got the bigger of the 2 spare rooms we had. Once the twins came along, we originally put them into the smaller....the bedroom that remained. It was a tight fit with 2 cribs and a dresser and believe me, that is really all that fit. We had talked about swapping the kids rooms. I had HORRIBLE guilt. All I could think of was how bad I felt to give him the smaller room. I already felt like he was getting the short end of the stick with our time since the twins were born. Was he going to be resentful? Of us?? Of his brothers? Would he understand? Would he hate it? He is a very routined child. Nope, I wasn't going to do it. We were going to have to figure it out as is!
Truth: (*stand back.....its shocking*) It was me. Not him that was afraid to move. Me. These were my issues. Not his. I was over thinking EVERYTHING!!!
So we asked him.
Us: "dude....how would you like to move into this room and we move your brothers into your room? We can do your Spiderman room! What do you think?"
C: "Yes!"
Really? That was it??? What was I so worried about?
Before: Here is the original room when we moved in......ick and blah.
It was a couple things before it was finally Connors Room.
Now......Connors Spiderman Room!
I wanted the most non scary comics I could find.
Framed them into inexpensive frames (used coupons of course).
Framed his Spiderman Superhero Academy Certificate from his birthday party.
I am not a big "theme" person but couldn't resist this room for him. I tried to keep it simple. He and the twins both helped with the transition....which was alittle crazy but fun!
Now, he is super happy with his room and the twins have a bigger more accommodating room!
What a great transformation!!! His room looks awesome! Love the framed comic books, great touch.
